Beach To City Style With Edith Broad

Meet Australian fashion and lifestyle blogger, Edith Broad. The moment we saw her we knew instantly she was our kind of girl with her laid-back style and carefree nature. And as ‘summer’ hasn’t really made a full appearance in the UK this year, we’ve been living vicariously through Edi’s sun-kissed images whilst pondering a move down-under.

Hi Edi, tell us a bit about yourself?

Where to start?! I love early mornings, exploring, doing new things, seeing new places, meeting new faces. Music makes me really happy too. I don’t like routine, if I’m doing anything new and exciting, I’m having fun. I love to cosy up in front of a fire in Winter as much as I love swimming in the ocean in Summer.

Describe a typical day in the life of Edith Broad?

I love getting up early and being by the sea. Even when it’s cold, I do my best to grab a coffee and do emails by the water. I love working hard and I always pack out my days as much as possible. I’ll mix it up from day to day, but I love to exercise, grab a coffee, see friends and family, work, make dinner with my boyfriend (I love to cook), watch a super fabulous show together and have a wine and get to bed early.

Where do you plan to travel this year?

I’m doing a couple of trips within Australia, and we’re planning a trip overseas which will most likely happen over Christmas!

Any favourite quotes you live by?

Concentrate and work hard. My Dad said this to my every day before school and it kinda stuck.

What music do you like listening to?

All of it. I mix it up daily depending on my mood, but I literally love all genres. Except country. I don’t like country.

How and when did you first get into your job?

Back in 2016, I moved from my home in Western Australia to Byron Bay for a dream job that ended up falling through at the very last minute. So I stuck it out and did my own thing, Tim and I did long distance for two years, which ended up being a good excuse for lots of holidays! I worked on some super creative projects and spent time building my design business until I moved back home last year. I’m so grateful that I get to do what I love everyday.

How would you describe your style?

Simple. I love denim with a tee, boots and an oversized knit. I’m also partial to a floaty skirt and a crop. Just whatever I’m feeling at the time, but I definitely feel most comfortable when casual.

What’s your style on the beach vs your style in the city like?

Floaty and minimal at the beach and a touch more detailed in the city. Pretty jewels are essential always.

What are your favourite piece(s) from the Isla Collection?

I’m obsessed with it all but my favourites are probably the Fossil Band Ring and the Shell Cuff Bangle. Love, love, love.

What does jewellery mean to you?

Everything. It’s crazy how much a single piece of jewellery can say about someone and how it can make them feel. My jewellery collection is forever growing. I’m so drawn to raw, earthy pieces that feel connected to nature. The Isla collection represents nature’s prettiest things, and I love it.

Is your jewellery style more minimal or do you like to layer it up?

Both. It depends on my mood and what I’m wearing, but I’m probably more into layering it up!

Us too.
