Daisy London x Ellie Goulding Launch Breakfast

Way back when what started as a conversation between friends at the The Larrik pub in Marylebone, chatting away about our joint passion on helping our beautiful planet, evolved in to the launch of the bracelet we created, raising money & awareness for WWF’s work on climate change. Held at the beautiful Bourne & Hollingsworth in Clerkenwell, the hanging plants and House of Hackney fabric sofas made the perfect setting. Wearing an Alexander McQueen shirt with Saint Laurent heels, Ellie power dressed for the occasion, showing us her more serious side when it comes to making a difference.

Tucked away in their greenhouse room, the table was dressed in beautiful flowers from our friends at Bloom & Wild. Sunflowers, roses, peonies, you name it – all of our favourite colours scrambled their way in between piles of avocado scotch eggs (yes they’re a thing apparently), portobello mushrooms with roasted tomatoes and the tastiest of sourdough toast. In each place setting was a bracelet, wrapped in our signature gift wrap with a single leaf.

Our very own Ruth Bewsey welcomed everyone to the breakfast with a classic ‘clink, clink, clink’ of a glass; “I am so proud to be standing here in this room with you all today. It’s been incredible to work with both Ellie and WWF to create a beautiful collection that will help raise awareness for climate change.” Wearing a Topshop maternity dress, Ruth joked about how much bigger she is than when they first started discussing the launch. Sitting next to Ellie, is WWF’s Head of Climate and Energy, Gareth Redmond-King. It wasn’t long before he was in a deep conversation with actress and comedian, Aisling Bea.

With our new friend, Joe Wicks, capturing the event non stop on instagram stories alongside pal Faisal from PMA fitness, the boys fuelled the laughter in the room with their infectious energy. Joe explained how “loads of his guy mates had asked where they could get their hands on the black corded bracelet”.

After two hours of discussion, laughter and admiring the jewellery it was time for our guests to leave (via the waiting paparazzi outside none the less). For Ellie the day had only just begun, with another 3 hours of press interviews ahead of her, later finishing off with an intense boxing session to unwind.

"Thank you to everyone who made this event what it was. I am forever humbled by your dedication and adoration for our brand.”

Ruth Bewsey, Creative Director
