Women To Watch This IWD
Tanya and Esther
The pinnacle of feminie friendship, lifetime best friends Tanya and Esther are the founders of homeware brand Nuwe Roam. After studying fashion together at university and working several jobs side by side they decided to start their own brand. Inspired by the places and adventures they’ve been on, Nuwe Roam was born. Sounds familiar! No wonder we’re obsessed.
Selling candles, prints and vintage one off pieces. This feminie dream team is constantly evolving their brand and working with new creators. Be sure to check them out.
Mads
Inspired to capture her body during her second pregnancy, Mads found there was a lack of options to do so in an original, empowering and timeless way. This led to Studio Bust, 'a creative and inclusive company on a mission to champion and celebrate the female form’. Something that really resonates with us here at Daisy.
Alex Scott MBE
It can be a ‘man’s world’ out there and even more so in certain industries… but not for Alex Scott. Starting her career as a professional footballer for Arsenal. She went on to play for the England national team and represent Great Britain in the 2012 Summer Olympics. After her retirement in 2017 Alex entered the male dominated role of sports presenter (bad ass we’d say). Alex had presented Match of the Day, Soccer AM, Goals on Sunday and was even the first female pundit at the World Cup. Oh and did we mention she’s in the English Football Hall of Fame and a MBE?
Klaudia Kedziora
One of our original Daisy girls. Klaudia is a content creator, Instagram model and founder of her own PR company (and mother to some of the cutest sausage dogs in London). With these incredible achievements in her back pocket, Klaudia has recently taken on the role of activist. As the war in Ukraine unfolds, Klaudia has been dedicating her time, efforts and influence to support charities helping Ukrainian refugees.
Setting up a giveaway with some fellow content creators, Klaudia has raised over £12,000.00 to send directly to those in need. Donations are still open here.
Tara Collingwoode
Tara, a girl close to our hearts. Tara is a London based film photographer, definitely one to watch and definitely one of favourite people… ever. We love working together on shoots, she has a beautiful talent for telling stories through her film, her shots are nostalgic and authentic. We can’t get enough.
You can see more of her work here.
Abigail Bergstrom
Abigail is the perfect example of using your talents to help others. After working in the publishing industry for over 10 years Abigail branched off to launch her own publishing consulting company helping ‘emerging writers find their voice’. Her consulting studio Bergstrom Studio offers various packages to help writers take their ideas into publication. Whether you want to write non-fiction, a novel or even your own memoir, Bergstrom Studios help emerging writers every step of the way.
Frances Glory Costelloe
Designer, artist, brand consultant and mother, Frances Costelloe shares her incredible artwork on her Instagram and sells everything from prints, lampshades to ceramics and original drawings on her site. Her work is also stocked at Liberty’s and features in publications such as the Financial Times.
Oh, did we mention her company is entirely carbon positive? Frances also spread the love by hosting classes and events nurturing the talents of artists across the UK.
The Cosmic Latte
So what’s your star sign? Probably one of the most common phrases used at Daisy. The Cosmic Latte aka Daniela Karpenos, is bringing all things Zodiac to life with her dreamy IG account. What started as Daniela giving her friends unsolicited birth chart readings has now turned into her thriving social media brand filled with fun informative graphics and birth charts. You can also sign up for a birth chart or tarot reading from Daniela herself. The Cosmic Latte is here to ‘ unearth new aspects of yourself, reflect on your purpose, and discover your truth’.
